Venu Nambiar exposes the so-called education we all got post-Independence. Transposition of mental and intellectual (s)exercises one undergoes during the teens is eminently captured. Venu, reality hurts. Hurts both at the either end of the stick. Some people wail; some learn from it. Waiting for more thoughts from you like this.....

This post is entirely waste. Why should the editor want to waste the space??
I request the editor to open his eyes and read the article before publishing.

The usage of word Koshava speaks of the prejudice lingering in the minds of non-dalits.
A Potter is related to creativity and so nearer to God than a so called Brahmin.
Dear Cochin Aeli, the poem in question is born out of the frustration with our educational system, which is mainly a centre for intellectual training. Cause of all the present day maladies lies in the standard of our education which believes in mass imitation and reckless consumption that leads to alienation from nature and god.
We cannot afford intellectual training at the cost of intelligence. We should not lose our balance and become a prey to the mind-made and hand-made things of the world. This is what I wanted to portray in the above poem. Nevertheless, a poet is never perfect.
Each poem is an attempt from his side to seek perfection. Though he wrote more than 6000 poems during his life time, Rabindranath Tagore was weeping at the time of his death as he could not write the masterpiece despite 6000 attempts.
I respect T S Aelis remarks, but it stinks of ill will.

-നികിത, Cochin,
John Elamatha, the former President of LANA (Literary Association of North America) is a well known Canadian Malayalee writer. His recently released historical novel-BUDHAN is the one of the best literary works he has ever done and I hope his name will be recommened for a Literary Award for this work.In this novel, he narrated Budhan in a different way (it can be controversial too)without loosing any minute historical details. This book shows Elamatha's depth in reading historical books. As Kakkanadan said, I am also expecting more such Historical Researches from John Elamatha.
Great Work!! Well Done!!!
