I understand your emotions. But you are a very confused person, and your confusion arises from too many assumptions that you are making about people around you. What you said was sincere, but totally ignorant.
You dont have a clue about how a public economy works, how demand and supply distributes people and resources and how people look for opportunities to live a better material life. Why did you write this essay? People are working in IT and as Nurses for the same reason as why you are writing this essay. To Live. Do you understand the meaning of that word "To Live"? Do you know that you have propositioned that a guy sitting around doing nothing in Kerala is a "better man" than a Nurse toiling for himself and family in USA? How can you write such cruel statements? How can you downgrade a profession just like that?
One more think you dont have a damn clue about: Divorce rates in America has nothing to do with money. It is all about left-liberal attitudes that promote carefree living without any commitment to family. The divorce rates among conservatives are low. It is very ironic that the left in India consider divorse as a bad trend whereas teh left-liberals in US consider divorse as progress.
Another thing: as a person who lived in different places, I can assure you: Kerala is one place where work is most "classed". You come to USA, kids of rich people work for small-time jobs. They dont care, and nobody cares. You do not find a Prasannakumar in USA thinking that only pathetic losers will work in IT or in Nursing. Shame on you.
You want to improve things in Kerala? First change yourself. Change your own attittude to people and society and social mechanisms, instead of sitting and writting a letter to Srinivasan.
