Let us address the root causesThe root causes of this issue are callousness and probably inexperience of the Editorial board as well as the author. The concept of a web magazine itself stems from the fact that it uses modern technology. In professionally managed web magazines which accept online submission of articles from the authors, there will be a system by which the author while submitting an article also gives an undertaking to the effect that the article is his original work submitted for the first time for publication and that he agrees to transfer the copy right if the article is selected for publication. The magazine keeps the author in the loop on the editorial status of his article through a reference number. If the work is rejected, the Editor informs the author promptly and after wards the author is free to resubmit the same to another magazine. I don�t think the system followed by Puzha is anywhere near to this. Regarding the! quality of the work, yes, I was impressed by it. Still, as an unbiased reader I wanted to verify the consistency in the author�s works through his previously published articles and in this search I came across the same article in another web magazine. Writers, like doctors are expected to maintain a very high level in credibility rating. Their writings keep the collective soul of the society under good health just like the doctors take care of its body. It is not a good idea to have a few skeletons in the cupboard for an author who takes his work seriously. Even if I had not pointed it out, some one else would have done it. Unbiased commentators speak their mind out and they face resistance from Authors, Editors and Readers alike. No wonder when VKN died there were few to mourn him (No more rejoinders on this issue from me).
