I read with great interest Mr. Thomas Mathew's article 'Ende Sindhura Cheppu'. It took me back several decades on memory lane and recast nostalgic memories of the six years I spent in that, then, fabled kingdom of Emperor Haile Selassie.
Asmara, the art deco city, is not a northern Ethiopian city today. It is now the capital of the Republic of Eritrea.
Mr. Thomas Mathew's observations about the people of Ethiopia and their clture are very vivid. Only those who have lived in that country know how hospitable Ethiopians are.
