It is a labour to remove the skin of 'koorka'.. The best way is to wash 'koorka' thoroughly and pressure cook with little water for a while. Cool with running water. Just press at one end after tearing off a small part of the opposite side. The flesh will come out whole! (Wash once more if some sand and mud still linger.)
No breakage, no mess, no effort, no stain. And the taste too will be equally great. Try it! (Same process for removing the skin of 'cheemp~', 'cheru kizhang~', 'kaachil', etc.)
