Religion an accident

Religion an accidentA person is born into a religion. In other words, religion is merely an accidental entity in one's life. Most of us have not chosen our religion. Why give so much importance to such an accident? Why not have a uniform civil code for the entire country and stop segregating people in the name of religion? Why not abolish all special privileges to any group in the name of religions? Why not improve social backwardness without regard for religious backgrounds?...
