വായിച്ച് തുടങ്ങിയപ്പോൾ ഒരു അനുഭവമാണെന്ന് തോന്നുന്ന രീതിയിൽ അനുഭവപ്പെട്ടു. അതിൽ കുഴപ്പമില്ല. ഈ വൃദ്ധസദനം എന്ന വാക്ക് കേട്ട് മലയാളി വായനക്കാർ വീർപ്പ് മുട്ടിയിരിക്കുകയാണ്‌. അതിനൊന്നും സാരമില്ല, കഥയ്ക്ക് ഇത്തിരിയും കൂടി ആഴം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നെങ്കിൽ.
