പിന്നെയും ചില പോരായ്മകള്‍ഒരുപാട് കാലമായി കോഫീ ഹൌസിന്റെ ഒരു ഉപഭോക്താവാണ്‌. വലുപ്പത്തില്‍ മാത്രം കാര്യമില്ല. പല ഹോട്ടലുകളിലും കൂറ്റന്‍ ദോശ കാണാം എന്നാല്‍ രുചി തുലോം തുച്ഛം . എന്തെങ്കിലും മായം ചേര്‍ത്തിട്ടാണോ ഇങ്ങനെ വലുതാവുന്നത് എന്നു സംശയം തോന്നിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. എന്നാല്‍ ഇന്ത്യന്‍ കോഫീ ഹൌസുകളില്‍ പൊതുവെ കലര്‍പ്പില്ലാത്ത നാടന്‍ രുചി (ചട്ണി ഇവിടെ പ്രത�! ��യേകം എടുത്തുപറയേണ്ടതാണ്‌) ആണെന്നത് ശ്രദ്ധേയമാണ്‌. എങ്കിലും രുചിയില്‍ മാറ്റമില്ലാതെ അല്പം കൂടി അളവ് കൂട്ടുന്നത് നല്ലതു തന്നെ.
പിന്നെയും ചില പോരായ്മകള്‍ ചൂണ്ടിക്കാട്ടാനുണ്ട്. പൊതുവെ എല്ലാ കോഫീ ഹൌസുകളിലും ടോയ്ലറ്റ് വളരെ അപര്യാപ്തമാണ്‌. വൃത്തിയും പോരാ.
ദോശയുടെ മീതെ ച്ട്ണിയുടേയും സാമ്പാറിന്റേയും പാത്രം വെക്കുന്ന വൃത്തിഹീനമായ ഒരു ശീലം ഇവര്‍ക്കുണ്ട്. ഒരിക്�! ��ല്‍ ഞാന്‍ പരാതിപ്പെട�! �ടു. അതിനു ശേഷം അവര്‍ ശ്രദ്ധിക്കുന്നുണ്ടെന്നു തോന്നുന്നു.
കോഫീ ഹൌസുകള്‍ക്ക് വടക്കന്‍ ജില്ലകള്‍ അത്ര പഥ്യമല്ല എന്നു തോന്നുന്നു. ഗുരുവായൂര്‍ കഴിഞ്ഞാല്‍ വടക്കോട്ട് കോഫീ ഹൌസുകള്‍ വളരെ വിരളമാണ്‌.
