Employment generation is the keyGeneration of employment is something that any developing economy cannot live without. Kerala model could produce a large number of educated people. But, where Kerala failed was to maintain the momentum by sustaining generation of employment to keep the educated people productive. Any society moving from an agricultural economy to an industrial economy cannot ignore the support to various industries-manufacturing or services. We failed in that. As long as industries outside Kerala support the Kerala economy by expatriates, we may survive. But how long?
