RealisticIt is refreshing to note that there is at least one woman contributor who didn't try to eulogize Kamaladas. Kamaladas spent her life in pursuit of her insatiable desire to be loved, admired and appreciated by one and all. Her initial claim to fame was due to 'My story' which was lapped up by a sexually suppressed generation due to the sleaze value and not because of any great literary insight. She expected an unconditional support from Malayalis in spite of her numerous misadventures such as contesting an election or converting to Islam. She embarked upon these misadventures for her personal gains, yet attempted to befool the gullible public. Yes, to her credit she also wrote some good stories during the later part of her career. But there are numerous Malayali writers who have written excellent stories.
