It is quite disheartening to see puzha carrying such an article from someone apparently not given much thought on the subject and has followed the cheap ''unnithan trick'' to get some claps from readers.
I dont understand where isues of women's morality and feminism come in an incident where two like minded people decided to do what they wanted to do. We cant impose our insecurities/ignorance on others.
The author apparently has no knowledge of the world or how it functions - as the word 'adukkala' sems to suggest.
On what basis is she saying that women need not go out after dark? What about office workers, college girls or anybody for that matter? When have started to decide on women's matters strictly on a 'needs' basis? I beleive Taliban also does that.
Puzha should be a bit more responsible in bringing out articles - otherwise we will see more talibanists proclaiming that women need to confine themselves to the four walls of 'Adukkala'.
