If other sports items are promoted like Cricket, they wil also earn high user attention. Kerala people are addicted to football, when world cup or European cup are in progress. Its not only in cricket, where India is recognised globally. You cant ignore hockey or Tennis in that sense. And crikcet is a game, which is played in only about 15-20 nations. A crown in that little group is not a thing to get much hype.

കേരളത്തില് ഒരു കാലത്ത്‌ ശക്തമായിരുന്ന ഫുട്ബോള് പോലും നാശം നേരിട്ടുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു. കളിക്കാന് ആരോഗ്യമുള്ള കുട്ടികള് ഇന്ന്‌ ക്രിക്കറ്റിലേക്കാണ് പോകുന്നത്‌.

ഇപ്പോഴത്തെ കളിക്കാര്ക്ക്‌ അവാര്ഡ്‌ കൊടുക്കുന്നതിലുപരിയായി ക്ഷീണം സംഭവിച്ച കളികള്ക്ക്‌ ലീഗുകള് തുടങ്ങി അന്താരാഷ്ട്രനിലവാരമുള്ള കളിക്കാരെ വാര്ത്തെടുക്കുന്നതിലാണ് സര്ക്കാരിന്റെ ശ്രദ്ധ ചെല്ലേണ്ടത്‌.

ദുഷിപ്പിനെ വിവരിക്കാന് ദുഷിച്ച ഭാഷഅനില്‍ ന്യൂ ജേഴ്സി നിരീക്ഷിച്ചതുപോലെ ഇതൊരു പുതിയ ശൈലിയായി കരുതിയാല് പോരെ? ഒ.വി.വിജയന്റെ ധര്‍മ്മപുരാണമാണ് (മലയാളമൂലം; ഇംഗ്ലീഷ്‌ വിവര്‍ത്തനത്തിന്റെ ഭാഷ അത്ര ശക്തമല്ല) എനിക്കിവിടെ ഓര്‍മ വരുന്നത്‌. രാഷ്ട്രീയത്തിലെ/ഭരണത്തിന്റെ/അധികാരികളുടെ ദുഷിപ്പിനെ വിവരിക്കാന് ഒരു അതുവരെ അസഭ്യമെന്നു നമ്മള് കരുതിയിരുന്ന ഭാഷാശൈലിയാണ് അദ്ദേഹം തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തത്‌.

സാഹിത്യം സുന്ദരമായ ഭാഷയില്‌ത്തന്നെ നിര്‍മ്മിക്കപ്പെടണമെന്നതും സാഹിത്യകാരന്മാരെ അമാനുഷന്മാരായി കാണണമെന്നുമുള്ള ചിന്ത എന്റെ അഭിപ്രായത്തില് ബുദ്ധിപരമായ ഒരുതരം ജീര്‍ണ്ണതയാണ്.

പ്രിന്റില് ലഭ്യമല്ലാത്ത, പരുക്കനെങ്കിലും നമ്മുടെ സാംസ്ക്ക്ക്കാരിക ജീര്‍ണ്ണതയെയും ഉപജാപങ്ങളെയും തുറന്നുകാട്ടുന്ന പി.ശശിധരന്റെ കോളം എല്ലാ ആഴ്ചയിലും സ്ഥിരമായി പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിച്ചിരുന്നെങ്കില് നന്നായേനെ. അതുപോലെ വ്യക്തിപരമായ പരാമര്‍ശങ്ങള് ചിലപ്പോള് അതിരുകള് ലംഘിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്‌; ദയവായി അതൊഴിവാക്കുക.

വിമര്‍ശനക്കോമരംസത്യത്തില്‍ ഒരാളുടെ സംസ്കാരത്തിനെയോ കുടുംബത്തിനേയോ അയാളുടെ തന്തയേയും തള്ളയേയുമോ തെറിവിളിച്ചാലും ഒന്നും സംഭവിക്കില്ല, അനില്‍ പറഞ്ഞതു പോലെ അങ്ങനെ ഉരുകിപ്പോകുന്നതൊന്നുമല്ലല്ലോ അവരൊന്നും ;) ദൈവത്തിന്റെ മേലും ഇടയ്ക്ക് കുതിരകേറാവുന്നതാണ്, ഒരു ദൈവപുത്രനെ തന്തയില്ലാത്തവന്‍ എന്നൊരു അവിശ്വാസി വിളിച്ചാല്‍ എന്താണല്ലേ? ആത്യന്തികമായി അവിശ്വാസി അയാള്‍ക്കു ദുഷിപ്പെന്നു തോന്നുന്നതിനെ വിമര്‍ശിക്കുകയാണല്ലോ, അതിലല്പം സംസ്കാരം കുറഞ്ഞാലും പ്രശ്നമില്ല.

�നെയിം‌കാളിങ്� ന്റെ ഒരു സ്കൂള്‍ ലെവല്‍ പയ്യന്‍ മാത്രമാണ് ശശിധരന്‍.പി വിമര്‍ശനകലയില്‍, സ്കൂളിന്റെ മൂത്രപ്പുരയാണ് അയാള്‍ക്ക് ഇഷ്ടസ്ഥലം, �പണ്ടേതോ നായരുടെ തല്ലുകൊണ്ടതിന്റെ� ചൊരുക്കുമായപ്പോള്‍ പുഴയെ മൂത്രപ്പുരയാക്കാന്‍ തുനിഞ്ഞിറങ്ങിയിരിക്കുകയാണ് ഈ വിമര്‍ശനങ്ങളുടെ തമ്പുരാന്‍.

Ramasethu records emotions and moods that is beyond normal language, that can only be patched together and hinted at metaphorically.

Explanation was not offered as a readymade package along with the poem. It was given on account of some provocation. The man who asked for explanation or proof of worthiness, now laments over the explanation helplessly and distracts from the entire issue by resorting to childish pranks. This will provide any reader with an opportunity for a tax free bellyful laugh. Sethu Rama is perhaps allergic to the publicity that the poem is generating. He will be very unhappy to know that the famous Malayalam critic of kalakaumudi weekly has commented on Ramasethu positively through a personal email message. I can forward it to him at a cost of 101 dinars. Shri Ramesh, Dubai if he desires so, will get a copy of the email free of cost. That will be in appreciation of his change of heart.

The space of puzha is sacred. Let it be used for creative pursuits and consequent enjoyment. If you do not know the meaning of simple words like wonderful and beautiful, why air it publicly and waste others time. Borrow a pocket size dictionary and find out yourself.

സമകാലിക കേരളത്തിന് നേരെ പിടിച്ച കണ്ണാടിഅധികാരം ജനങ്ങളിലേക്ക് സംക്രമിക്കേണ്ടതിന്‍റെ ആവശ്യകത മാര്‍ക്സ് ഊന്നിപ്പറയുന്നുണ്ട് പലപ്പോഴായി. ഇന്ന് അധികാരം മാര്‍ക്സിന്‍റെ ലേബലുള്ള പാര്‍ട്ടി കേരളം ഭരിക്കുമ്പോള്‍തന്നെ പിടിപ്പുകേടിന്‍റെയും കാര്യക്ഷമതയില്ലായ്മയുടെയും പര്യായമായി മാറിയിരിക്കുകയാണ് കേരള സമൂഹം. അതിന്‍റെ തുടര്‍ച്ചയായാണ് കാറ്റ് വിതച്ച് കൊടുങ്കാറ്റ് പെയ്യുന്ന രോഗങ്ങളും. ഒരച്ഛന്‍റെ സ്വപ്നങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് വിലപറയുന്നവരായി മാറിയിരിക്കുന്നു അധികാരവര്‍ഗ്ഗം ഒരമ്മയുടെ തേങ്ങലുകളെ ചവിട്ടി മെതിക്കുന്ന കാട്ടാളന്‍ മാരായി മാറിയിരിക്കുന്നു അധികാരവര്‍ഗ്ഗം രാഷ്ട്രീയ അടിമത്വത്തിലുള്ള കേരളത്തെ രക്ഷിക്കുക ആര്‍ക്ക് സാധിക്കും? വേദനയുടെ ശിഖരം മുറിഞ്ഞു വീഴുന്നത് കേരള മനസ്സാക്ഷിയുടെ മുമ്പിലേക്കാണ്. ഉത്തരം തരാന്‍ ഒരോ കേരള മനസ്സുകളും ബാധ്യസ്ഥ്യരാണ്.

നല്ല ആശയവും അവതരണ മികവും ഈ കവിതയ്ക്കുണ്ട്. എങ്കിലും സാധാരണ വായനക്കാരന് എത്തിച്ചേരാന്‍ ഇത് മാത്രം പോര. കുറച്ചു കൂടി മനസ്സിരുത്തി എഴുതിയിരുന്നെങ്കില്‍ ഒത്തിരി നന്നാക്കാമായിരുന്നു അഭിനന്ദനങ്ങള്‍. നല്ല കവിതകള്‍ പ്രതീക്ഷിക്കുന്നു
